Adoption Support Therapist

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2017 and I have worked in supporting young people and their families with mental health difficulties and neurodiversity since then.  I previously managed a CAMHS outreach service and went on to manage a team supporting foster families at risk of breakdown within Bristol City Council.  I began working with Adopters for Adoption in November 2025 and alongside this I work for several organisations offering autism assessments, young people’s advocacy and as a Specialist Occupational Therapist within a specialist education provision.  I enjoy bringing my Occupational Therapy ‘lens’ to the support that I offer families, along with my training in sensory integration and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy.  I am passionate about this as a holistic and systemic way of working and I’m always keen to learn about what occupations are meaningful for the people that I meet.

I love going to see live music and spending time outdoors, particularly hiking/trekking.  I trekked Kilimanjaro in 2025 and I am researching a trek to Everest Base Camp in 2027.  I live with my teenage son and daughter in Bristol with our two dogs, cat and 5 chickens.
